Following rainfall of 121mm in the last 7 days, 15mm of which fell in the last 24 hours; horses were brought to the track to gallop and areas of surface water were noted. With more rain forecast coupled with very strong winds, the decision was taken to abandon the race meeting in the interests of safety.
