After receiving 22.5mm of rainfall overnight and a total of 32.5mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours , a committee was formed this morning and gallops took place.

Unfortunately it was unanimous, that the track was unsafe for racing.

Following heavy overnight onto an already saturated track, tomorrow’s meeting will take place on the Polytrack.

All distances remain unchanged.

Following consistent rainfall at the Vaal racecourse, a decision has been made to abandon the race meeting due to unsafe racing surface.

The possibility of rescheduling the meeting to Monday, 31st July 2023, is being considered.
