1st Moon In June (Marcus/Hill MR65 A 58kg draw 2) This hard knocking maiden was returning from a two month layoff. She was prominent throughout and strode out well. 60.58 seconds
2nd 1,80 Welakapela (Godden/Singh a 56kg draw 6) This unraced Where’s That Tiger filly showed fair pace and stayed on with a fair action. 60.87 seconds
3rd 2,05 Wishful Girl Linn (Jacobs -4 kg/Puller s 56kg draw 9) This unraced Linngari filly showed fair pace with a round action to overcome a wide draw. Stayed on without being asked any questions. Has some substance and scope. 60.9 seconds
4th 2,30 Donnazetti (Randolph/Whitehead S 58kg draw 3) This unraced Warm White Night filly is tall and has scope. She was green around the turn and raced with a high head carriage. She relaxed towards the end and stayed on well without ever letting herself down. 60.95
5th 2,40 Deer Park (Brown/Govender S 57kg draw 8) This Bold Silvano colt was relaxed from the off and dropped out. He then showed a nice big action when asked to keep in touch and stayed on well. 60.97 seconds
6th 6,10 Simply Russian (Moodley/Puller s 56kg draw 4) This two-year-old Captain Of All filly has scope. She was green but stretched out well and displayed a nice action. Can improve. 61.49 seconds
7th 7,90 Romantic Duchess (Jacobson/Govender A 56kg draw 1) This two-year-old Duke Of Marmalade filly is well bred being out of the useful sprinter Romantic Moon and a half-sister to the five-time winning Lunar Rush. She showed good early pace and a nice rhythmical action but tired in the straight so likely needed it. 61.74 seconds
8th 11,10 Persona Grata (Ramzan -4 kg/Dittmer s 59kg draw 5) This Crusade gelding was green and outpaced but stayed on well in the straight. 62.25 seconds
9th 13,60 Saggiatore (Ngwane/L Crawford 59kg draw 10) Showed some early pace but raced wide and tired in the straight. 62.62 seconds
10th 15,40 Roy’s Silver (Samuel/Naidoo A 59kg draw 7) This Al Miqdaam colt has scope and a fair action but was caught wide and faded in the straight. 62.91 seconds
Second Trial
1st Cedrus Libani (De Melo/Anthony MR72 A 60kg draw 9) Returning from a six month layoff he showed good pace and stretched out well. However, not the best action as was dishing on the off fore. 59.12 seconds
2nd 0,05 Checkpoint Charlie (Veale/Hill MR81 AB 59kg draw 5) Showed fair pace and strode out well. Stayed on under driving. 59.13 seconds
3rd 3,45 La Valette (Khan/Howells MR77 A 58kg draw 4) Pecked badly at the off. Thereafter strode out well and stayed on under encouragement in the straight. Str59.64 seconds
4th 3,70 We Light The Fire (Brown/Govender A 57kg draw 8) This two-year-old Gimmethegreenlight colt has plenty of scope. He showed good pace and despite racing wide stayed on well with a nice action in the straight. 59.68 seconds
5th 13,00 Roy’s Nightingale (Jacobs -4 kg/Naidoo A 58kg draw 1) This Al Miqdaam filly showed some early toe but was green and then outpaced in the straight despite being hard ridden. 61.22 seconds
6th 13,10 Nisidominus (Arries/Kotzen s 59kg draw 6) This Oratorio gelding was outpaced but has a rangy action and stayed on well, so looks to need further. 61.25 seconds
7th 13,70 Franks Petal (Jacobson/Govender S 56kg draw 2) This two-year-old Jackson filly was green and had to be encouraged but has a fair action and can improve. 61.36 seconds
8th 17,45 Sweet Empress (Randolph/Whitehead S 58kg draw 3) This Curved Ball filly was slow away and then green and outpaced. Stayed on under a galloping action and can improve. 61.94 seconds
9th 17,85 Colours (Samuel/Dittmer s 58kg draw 7) This Alado filly has some scope but was outpaced throughout and likely needed it. 62.02 seconds
