1st Tarocco (Veale/Drier 2yof S 56kg draw 6) This unraced Master Of My Fate filly is athletic and after jumping slowly showed a good turn of speed to move around and take the lead. She was green but displayed a lovely big action and looks to have plenty of natural speed. She came home clear without being let down. 59.23 seconds.
2nd 6,00 Gibbous (Kennedy/Van Zyl (Jnr) 2yof S 56kg draw 3) This well put together Curved Ball filly was having her second barrier trial. She has a galloping action and after being handy from the off plugged on well. She will be seen at her best over more ground. 60.33 seconds.
3rd 6,50 Prince In Action (Mgudlwa/Puller 2yog A 57kg draw 1) This unraced Brave Tin Soldier gelding is an athletic sort. He jumped to the left but in the straight quickened quite well. 60.43 seconds.
4th 7,00 Caribbean Mist (Arries/Miller 2yof A 56kg draw 8) This unraced Philanthropist filly showed some pace but looks to be a galloping type despite being out of a Listed placed National Assembly sprinter as she was a touch one-paced so she might need further. 60.52 seconds.
5th 9,25 Cherry Pop (Samuel/G Kotzen 2yof A 56kg draw 4) This unraced Count Dubois filly was green throughout but has a fair action and will improve when the penny drops. 60.95 seconds.
6th 9,35 Leanna (Godden/Drier 2yof S 56kg draw 9) This unraced Master Of My Fate filly was green but did it quite easily throughout so looks to have plenty of scope for improvement. 60.97 seconds.
7th 10,10 Keep It Real (Ngwane/G Kotzen 2yof A 56kg draw 7) This unraced Kildonan filly is athletic and showed signs of zip but was restrained in order to drop out behind runners. She did some fair work late in the straight. 61.11 seconds.
8th 10,15 The Jazz Singer (Moodley -1.5 kg/N Kotzen 2yog s 57kg draw 2) This unraced Noble Tune gelding was sluggishly away and green so had to be driven early. However, he then showed a nice easy action and did it easily throughout without being asked any questions. 61.12 seconds.
9th 10,25 Lateral America (Mohapi/N Kotzen 2yog s 57kg draw 5) This unraced Lateral gelding was green but did make some late progress. He will do better over further. 61.14 seconds.

1st Mashari (Moodley -1.5 kg/Puller 3yog A 59kg draw 3) This Kahal gelding was having his second barrier trial and looks to have plenty of pace as one would expect as he is out of the Graded-winning sprinter Chant De Nuit. He overraced for a stride or two early but from then on settled well and the time was good when considering he was under a tight hold throughout. 57.27 seconds
2nd 0,25 Mastagambit (Veale/Drier 2yoc S 57kg draw 2) This unraced Master Of My Fate colt has scope and showed good pace throughout. 57.31 seconds
3rd 10,50 Mana Santana (Ntuli/Puller 2yog A 57kg draw 6) This unraced Visionaire gelding is not big but has some substance. He was soon outpaced but stayed on and will need further. 59.16 seconds
4th 14,00 Graham’s Fame (Gates -4 kg/Goosen 3yog A 59kg draw 4) This unraced Philanthropist gelding is quite big but was green and outpaced. 59.82 seconds
5th 17,75 lengths Song On Fire (Godden/Dittmer 3yof S 58kg draw 1) This unraced Toreador filly is small and was green and outpaced. 60.55 seconds
6th 27,50 Golden Syrup (Pagel/Goosen 3yof A 58kg draw 5) This unraced Mogok filly was all at sea and will need another barrier trial. 62.51seconds
