Barrier Trial Greyville poly 1000m 18/04/2018
st Trojan Harbour (AUS) (Marcus/Bosch 3yog MR94 A 59kg draw 3) This classy Harbour Watch gelding won the Listed Gatecrasher Stakes over 1400m last year as a juvenile but has not raced since last November. He broke well and strode out well all the way and was eased down someway before the line. 59.2 seconds
nd 1.00 Rock On Wood (Byleveld/Marshall 4yof MR80 A 59kg draw 2) This twice-winning Cape Town-based Seventh Rock filly lost her form from last May and has not run since November. She is a rangy sort and is effective from a mile up to 2000m. She was slightly bumped shortly after the start by the winner but from then onward strode out beautifully and ran all the way to the line. One to watch off her attractive current merit rating. This 59.38 seconds
rd 8,35 Gentleman’s Way (De Gouveia/Naidoo 2yoc A 57kg draw 4) This Pathfork colt is out of a one-time winning Dynasty filly who is a half-sister to Grade 1-winning sprint-miler On Her Toes. He showed some pace but steadily lost touch with the front two in the straight despite being pushed along and would have benefited from this outing. 60.75 seconds
th 12,10 Noble Simara (Godden/Naidoo 2yof A 56kg draw 1) This Noble Tune filly is out of Grade 3-placed King Of Kings filly Miss Zummerudd, who has produced three-time winner Moshav. She is leggy and immature and was green so might need another barrier trial. 61.47 seconds
th N/A Pulse (Ngcobo/Singh 2yof S 56kg draw 5) N/A Unfortunately broke down in the running.
